This gorgeous, newly constructed house is situated in the middle of a quiet, mature street in the Preston Hollow area in Dallas. Purva designed this house while at RDDA, keeping in mind that the client wanted a traditional exterior that fell in line with the other houses on the street. However, they wanted an interior that was suited for today's modern lifestyle, complete with an open kitchen, family room area, and large covered patio that opens up to the backyard for outdoor living. The answer was to design a transitional house on the interior to blend with the traditional exterior and a modern lifestyle. This beautiful white stucco and stone house, complete with cast stone detailing, encompasses a bright and modern kitchen with commercial appliances and an intimate breakfast nook. The large covered patio has a summer kitchen, fireplace and room for a pool, and is a perfect setup for family gatherings, making this house perfect for a family.
